Vision and Strategy
Our Mt. Spokane Church Ministries VISION is to "go and make disciples". This is the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ. We call it "helping people become all God wants them to be."
Our STRATEGY is called a multisite church. We are one congregation meeting in different locations. Currently we have two church campuses - Mt. Spokane Church and Community Bible Chapel. A church campus ia a multisite term applied to any location where a full range of weekly church services is provided.
Multisite churches share a common strategy to reach others for Jesus Christ by bringing the Gospel closer to where they are. The intention is to do a better job of loving different types of people by not allowing "church walls" to be the defining factor.
A venue is a multisite term that means a location where specialized services are conducted. Our Celebrate Recovery program is a venue that currently meets at Community Bible Chapel, the Union Gospel Mission and Mt. Spokane Church. We also have a number of other off-campus venues where our services take place such as retirement centers, nursing homes, addiction treatment facilities, and the Spokane County Jail.
A partner is a multisite term applied to any organization or church we join hands with in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mt. Spokane Church Ministries has a number of partners we team up with including the Greater Spokane Association of Evangelicals, the Union Gospel Mission Ministries, Moody Bible Institute, and Spokane County Jail Ministries.
